The Indianapolis Colts will be without at least one of their offensive weapons Sunday when they play the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field and quite possibly even two.
During his Friday talk with the media, Colts head coach Chuck Pagano announced that veteran wide receiver Reggie Wayne (elbow) will not play Sunday. Wayne, who failed to practice all week, was ruled out on the Friday injury report.
With Wayne out, Hakeem Nicks is expected to replace him in starting opposite lineup. Rookie Donte Moncrief should also see extended playing time in the game as well with Wayne sidelined.
In addition to Wayne, running back Trent Richardson (hamstring) could wind up missing Sunday’s game as well. Richardson enters the weekend listed as questionable and will thus likely be a game time decision.
Tight end Jack Doyle (knee) is questionable for Sunday while cornerback Darius Butler (ankle), tackle Gosder Cherilus (not injury related) and defensive tackle Arthur Jones (ankle) all end the week listed as probable.
