Season 5, Episode 21 of The Terrible Podcast is now up and with David Todd back following the passing of his father last week, we thankfully get a chance to recap a Pittsburgh Steelers win as they literally ran all over the Carolina Panthers 37-19 Sunday night.
Prior to us breaking down all that went right and wrong for the Steelers Sunday night, David and I recap the injury situation coming out of the game. We go over what the Steelers are likely to do on defense now that linebacker Jarvis Jones and cornerback Ike Taylor will likely be sidelined for an extended amount of time if not for the rest of the season.
We also go over the knee injury suffered by linebacker Ryan Shazier during the game and speculate about a few roster moves that are likely forthcoming.
As for the Steelers win over the Panthers, we start by looking at the offense and the success they had running the football. We talk about the personnel used during the game and how wide receiver Lance Moore only played one snap in his Steelers debut.
We make sure to praise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Antonio Brown for their efforts Sunday night as well.
While The Steelers defense did play well in the second half, David and I go over a few concerns related to the unit moving forward. We also go over the solid play of several individuals in the game.
We close this show out by taking a small look ahead at the Steelers schedule and how it plays into their favor.
As always, several other smaller talking points are mixed in throughout the show that are not highlighted here.
