For a second week in a row the Pittsburgh Steelers will play a winless team as they will now travel to Florida to play the 0-4 Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday at EverBank Field.
The Steelers opened up as seven point road favorites over the Jaguars, who will have rookie quarterback Blake Bortles under center Sunday. It will be Bortles’ second-career start as the Central Florida product was 29-of-37 passing for 253 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in his first start last week against the San Diego Chargers.
The Jaguars are expected to be without wide receiver Cecil Shorts III against the Steelers thanks to hamstring injury that he suffered against the Chargers. However, the Jaguars could get wide receiver and punt returner Ace Sanders back this week from his four-game suspension, but the team won’t decide until Friday if he’ll suit up against the Steelers.
Running backs Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson are expected to share the load against the Steelers. The two combined for 57 rushing yards against the Chargers on 19 total carries.
Through their first four games the Jaguars have scored a total of 58 points and they have failed to score more than 17 points in a single game.
