Report: Steelers To Sign CB Cortez Allen To Four-Year Extension

With less than 24 hours to go until the Pittsburgh Steelers kickoff their 2014 season, the team has reportedly finalized a four-year contract extension with cornerback Cortez Allen, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Early reports indicate the four-year extension will have a base value of over $26 million, but there’s no word as to what the guaranteed money is.

Allen, who was entering the final year of his rookie contract, was drafted by the Steelerrs in the fourth-round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of the Citadel. He was set to earn $1.431 million in 2014.
