Ravens LB Terrell Suggs Fined For Wearing Gladiator Helmet Prior To Steelers Game

According to several Sunday morning reports, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was fined $5,512 by the league for a uniform violation prior to the Thursday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Suggs violated the uniform policy when he wore a gladiator helmet during pre-game warmups. He reportedly purchased the helmet during a trip to Rome back in June according to Baltimoreravens.com.

I thought we needed a boost. We couldn’t afford to start slow,” said Suggs about his choice to wear the gladiator helmet.

Suggs joins fellow Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw on the fine list this past week as the Alabama product was docked $16,537 for his first quarter hit on Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger during the Thursday night game. Upshaw will reportedly appeal his fine.
