The Carolina Panthers Thursday injury report has now been released and it shows quite a few changes from the one that was released on Wednesday.
Not practicing for a second-straight day were running backs Fozzy Whittaker (thigh) and DeAngelo Williams (thigh). Williams missed the game last weekend against the Detroit Lions and is not looking like he will be ready to play the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday night.
After being limited on Wednesday, wide receiver Jason Avant (thigh) failed to practice Thursday. It will be interesting to see his Friday participation level as he’s certainly moving in the wrong direction.
Linebacker Thomas Davis (hip), fullback Mike Tolbert (chest) and tackle Garry Williams (thigh) all were limited Thursday after sitting out Wednesday. Tight end Greg Olsen (calf), who was limited Wednesday, practiced fully on Thursday.
Tackle Byron Bell (toe), wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin (knee), wide receiver Corey Brown (ankle), tackle Nate Chandler (toe) and defensive tackle Dwan Edwards all practiced fully after sitting out Wednesday.
There was one player added to the Panthers injury report as wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (thigh) is listed as being limited Thursday with a thigh injury.
