The Pittsburgh Steelers held their first of two training camp scrimmages against the Buffalo Bills Wednesday at Saint Vincent College and it appears as though a few players were dinged up during the session.
According to Missi Matthews on the Wednesday afternoon edition of Steelers Live, fullback Will Johnson and long snapper Greg Warren both left practice early. There is no word as to what the nature of their injuries were, however.
Bob Labriola also reported that tackle Guy Whimper looked like he got poked at one point during the session. Whimper, however, was able to return after missing a few snaps.
While rookie linebacker Ryan Shazier was dressed in pads for practice once again, it appears as though he was limited in his participation. In addition, Shazier was spotted still wearing a wrap on his injured leg/knee.
As previously reported, linebacker Jarvis Jones, tight end Matt Spaeth, linebacker Jordan Zumwalt, linebacker Vince Williams and guard Ramon Foster all sat out the scrimmage against the Bills.
When head coach Mike Tomlin updates the injury report after practice we will pass along what he has to say.
