The Pittsburgh Steelers have now started their Thursday practice and already we are getting word as to who is working and who isn’t.
According to Alex Kozora, running back Le’Veon Bell (hamstring) is in pads at the start of Thursday’s practice. Bell has missed the last several practices because of hamstring tightness, but it looks like he might have that behind him now.
While the Steelers look like they have gotten Bell back, his backup, LeGarrette Blount (unknown), is not practicing Thursday. The veteran might very well be a recipient of a day off, but we’ll have to wait and see what head coach Mike Tomlin says following practice.
The Steelers are down three tight ends on Thursday, however, as Matt Spaeth (unknown), Michael Palmer (unknown) and Rob Blanchflower (ankle) are all sidelined. With these three players down, undrafted rookie tight end Eric Waters will most definitely be the recipient of more snaps.
After missing the last several practices with a shoulder injury, rookie wide receiver C.J. Goodwin (shoulder) looks as if he will practice Thursday. The same can’t be said for rookie linebacker Jordan Zumwalt (groin), however, as Kozora reports he’s sidelined again on Thursday with a groin injury.
