We can probably expect the Pittsburgh Steelers to make a roster move this week after losing backup center David Snow for an extended amount of time to a fractured foot.
Snow, who suffered the injury midway through the Steelers Saturday practice, will require surgery and most likely will be waived injured. After clearing waivers, Snow should revert back to the Steelers reserve/injured list.
One would think that the Steelers would sign a center capable offensive lineman to fill Snow’s spot on the 90 man roster, but there’s no guarantee that happens.
Rookie fifth-round draft pick Wesley Johnson has reportedly already taken some reps as the third-team center during the first two practices and being as starting left guard Ramon Foster is expected to re-join the team Monday following the unexpected death of his mother, the team might decide to add a player to fill another position instead.
