It’s been quite the offseason for the Baltimore Ravens, who had their fifth player arrested Saturday night.
According to several media reports, cornerback Jimmy Smith was arrested and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct late Saturday night after an alleged incident at suburban Baltimore bar.
Smith was reportedly trying to help an intoxicated woman in the bathroom of the bar, but was arrested after he refused to comply with orders from the police to step aside once the paramedics arrived.
The Ravens are reportedly in the process of gathering information about the incident and Smith has been released from custody after being issued a citation.
The Ravens former first-round draft pick had some character concerns coming out of college, but this is the first time he has been arrested since arriving in Baltimore. It’s been a rough several days for Smith as he recently had a tree fall on his house during a storm.
Smith now joins running back Ray Rice, offensive lineman Jah Reid, wide receiver Deonte Thompson, running back Lorenzo Taliaferro on the list of Ravens players arrested this offseason.
