The Pittsburgh Steelers will hold a 1 p.m. news conference on Thursday to announce the five-year extension given to center Maurkice Pouncey.
According to early reports, Pouncey received roughly $44 million in new money as part of the extension and that includes a $13 million signing bonus.
Pouncey, who is now under contract through the 2019 season, has made it all the way back from the serious knee injury that suffered last year in the season-opener against the Tennessee Titans.
Pouncey will turn 25 in July and was drafted by the Steelers with the 18th overall selection in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Florida.
