According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports the Pittsburgh Steelers are monitoring the situation with former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers following his release last week.
Free agent CB Brandon Flowers not negotiating w/teams yet. Will spend the next 2 days in SD. BAL, PIT, MIN among those monitoring closely

Flowers was scheduled to earn $7.5 million in 2014, so you can bet he will not be willing to sign for peanuts. In fact, I question La Canfora’s report and will be shocked if the Steelers even bring Flowers in for a visit.
So why is Flowers still unsigned? Pat Kirwan of CBS Sports listed several potential reasons on Wednesday. One unidentified position coach told Kirwan, “[Flowers] He tends to blame the coaches when things go bad.”
Flowers missed three games last season with a knee injury and is probably best suited to play inside moving forward as opposed to outside.
If Flowers were willing to play for next to nothing, that would be one thing, but I can’t see that happening. Reports on Wednesday listed Flowers as visiting with the San Diego Chargers.
