Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Jasper Collins wasn’t unemployed very long as the Cincinnati Bengals claimed him Thursday off of waivers.
Collins, who wasn’t able to practice much during the first week of OTA practices because of an undisclosed injury, was waived Wednesday by the Steelers in order to make room for wide receiver C.J. Goodwin.
Collins was signed to a futures contract by the Steelers back in January. In 2013, the Mount Union product spent time on the practice squads of the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns.
Goodwin was signed after performing well during a tryout that was arranged by Hall of Fame cornerback Mel Blount.
