The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting another defensive back for a pre draft visit on Tuesday as Duke cornerback Ross Cockrell is in town, according to Bob Labriola of Steelers Digest.
Cockrell, who measured in at the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine right at 6’0″, ran a 40-yard dash time of 4.56 while in Indianapolis. However, at his Pro day, Cockrell reportedly lowered that time considerably.
It’s also interesting to note that Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert was reportedly present for the Duke Pro Day.
During his final two seasons at Duke, Cockrell registered eight interceptions while leading the ACC with five interceptions in his junior season.
The Steelers are also expected to host Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller for a pre draft visit later on this week.
Cockrell is expected to be drafted in the third or fourth round according to several draftnik projections.
