The Pittsburgh Steelers have already lost unrestricted free agent fullback/tight end David Johnson to the San Diego Chargers on Wednesday and it looks like versatile defensive lineman Al Woods might not be far behind him, as he reportedly has several free agent visits currently scheduled. The list doesn’t stop there, however, as two more Steelers unrestricted free agents are visiting the state of Florida on Wednesday.
According to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and defensive end Ziggy Hood are both visiting with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday. The Steelers have long seemed prepared to let both of their former draft picks walk off uncontested via free agency.
Should the Steelers ultimately lose both Woods and Hood, they will be left with only two defensive linemen under contract in the form of defensive end Cameron Heyward and nose tackle Steve McLendon that have extensive playing time on defense as veteran defensive end Brett Keisel is also currently an unrestricted free agent.
