On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they have set the dates for their 2014 offseason program that includes the rookie minicamp, OTAs, and the mandatory minicamp.
April 22 – Phase One – This is the strength and conditioning period of the offseason and it will run for two weeks.
May 5 – Phase Two – This is the three week segment of the offseason in which on-field workouts along with individual and team drills can take place. No live contact is permitted during this phase.
May 16-18 – Rookie Minicamp – This is the rookie minicamp portion of the offseason that will take place the weekend following the 2014 NFL Draft.
May 27 – June 12 – Phase Three – This is the four week span of OTA offseason practices in which 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are allowed. However, no live contact is allowed during these practices and only 10 practices in total are allowed during the four weeks. The day dates are: May 27, May 28, May 29, June 3, June 4, June 5, June 9, June 10, June 11, and June 12.
June 17-19 – Mandatory Minicamp – This is the last segment of the offseason practices that will take place prior to the team reporting to Latrobe for training camp.
