Pittsburgh Steelers unrestricted free agent defensive lineman Al Woods visited with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday and Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported he had signed with them.
Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean is now refuting Bouchette’s report on Twitter and says Woods still has free agent visits scheduled with the Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals.
Woods was originally claimed off waivers by the Steelers from the Seattle Seahawks in November of 2011, but was inactive for the rest of that season. In 2012, Woods saw action on the defensive line and on special teams for the first 14 game, making two starts. In total he played 30 snaps on defense that season mostly at the defensive end position.
In 2013, Woods made the move to nose tackle during the offseason and training camp and he wound up playing 223 snaps on defense and stated two games due to injuries on the defensive line.
