The Pittsburgh Steelers signed former Sand Diego Chargers nose tackle Cam Thomas to a two-year contract on Friday and according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, their other Friday guest, Buffalo Bills free agent defensive end Alex Carrington, is still meeting with the team.
This is great news and hopefully the Steelers can end the week by signing Carrington, who would then likely start at left defensive end opposite Cameron Heyward.
The Steelers let unrestricted defensive end Ziggy Hood leave this week as he signed a four-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. Also gone is backup defensive lineman Al Woods, who signed a two-year contract with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday.
DE Alex Carrington still meeting with #Steelers this afternoon.
