Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Larry Foote has been out of sight and out of mind being as he has been on a Steelers-themed cruise following his release, but now that’s he back home, speculation is mounting that he could start making some visits starting next week.
Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports 1 has taken the easy route with his speculation, as he tweeted Sunday that the Arizona Cardinals might have interest in Foote.
Just last offseason, the Cardinals were reportedly interested in signing Foote prior to him re-signing with the Steelers. That three-year contract was worth $5.5 million and included a $1 million signing bonus and a first-year base salary of $1.5 million.
Despite Garafolo’s optimism, Foote will be 34 in June and he’s coming off a torn biceps suffered in the 2013 season opener. So, while the Cardinals might very well show some interest in him, they will likely be only one a few teams that will.
LB Larry Foote had obligations last week so look for things to start picking up for him. Watch the Cards, who showed interest in him last yr
