A former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman is now a coach for the Tennessee Titans as Nick Eason was hired Thursday as a defensive line assistant by new head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Eason was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft out of Clemson, but his rookie season was cut short by an Achilles injury suffered in training camp. Eason was released by the Broncos in September of the 2004 season and he signed with the Cleveland Browns in October, where he played for three seasons (2004-06).
Eason signed with the Steelers in 2007 as an unrestricted free agent and played four seasons in Pittsburgh where he was a reserve defensive lineman on the team that won Super Bowl XLIII.
Eason ended his career by playing two seasons (2011-12) with the Arizona Cardinals where Whisenhunt was the head coach.
