The Pittsburgh Steelers added two more players to their offseason roster on Monday as linebacker Vic So’oto and running back Tauren Poole both signed reserve/futures contracts.
So’oto, a 3-4 outside linebacker, was originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Brigham Young in July of 2011. He has appeared in a total of 13 career games with the Packers, Oakland Raiders and Arizona Cardinals and also spent time on the practice squads of the Packers, Washington Redskins and New Orleans Saints.
Poole was originally signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Tennessee in April of 2012. He missed his rookie season due to a rib injury and spent parts of the 2013 season on the practice squad of both the Panthers and Indianapolis Colts. While at Tennessee, Poole played in 50 games with 25 starts and rushed for 1,898 yards and 16 touchdowns on 423 carries.
