The votes are now in and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been voted the 2013 team MVP by his teammates.
This is the second time in the past three years that Brown has won the team MVP award and he is the 11th player in the history of the franchise to win it multiple times.
Brown heads into the regular season finale against the Cleveland Browns with 101 receptions on the season and he needs only 12 more to have the most by a Steelers player in a single regular season as that would break the 112 that Hines Ward had in 2002.
Last week in the win over the Green Bay Packers, Brown became the Steelers new franchise leader in receiving yards in a single season as he passed Yancey Thigpen, who set the record in 1997 with 1,397 yards.
Brown, who also returns punts for the Steelers, needs only five all-purpose yards in order to pass Louis Lipps (1,824 in 1985) for the fourth-most by a Steelers’ player in a single season.
The Pro Bowl team will be announced on Friday and Brown is sure to be included on it.
