The Pittsburgh Steelers are still mathematically alive in the race for the final AFC Wild Card spot following their 38-31 win on Sunday over the Green Bay Packers, but a few players suffered injuries that will need to be evaluated heading into Week 17.
During his post game press conference, head coach Mike Tomlin said that both wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (knee) and linebacker Terence Garvin (knee) suffered left knee injuries during the game and that both players will need to be evaluated when the team arrives back in Pittsburgh.
Tomlin was asked about linebacker Jason Worilds (abdominal), who left the game for a while with an abdominal injury.
“Yeah, he’s going to be fine,” said Tomlin. “He’s playing a lot.”
Tomlin also said that rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones was sidelined for the Sunday game after coming down with the flu Saturday night.
