The Pittsburgh Steelers will play the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday night at Heinz Field and the first practice report for the week is now out.
Not practicing on Wednesday were tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle), defensive end Ziggy Hood (ankle), defensive end Brett Keisel (foot), nose tackle Steve McLendon (ankle) and safety Troy Polamalu (shoulder). Video from practice showed Keisel and Hood both lightly jogging on the side.
Practicing fully on Wednesday were tackle Kelvin Beachum (knee), wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery (shoulder) and guard David DeCastro (foot). Beachum was forced to miss the game this past Sunday, so it’s a good sign that he is now back practicing fully. As for Cotchery and DeCastro, both are expected to be good to go for the Bengals game.
Another good sign is the fact linebacker LaMarr Woodley is not listed on the injury report for the first time in several weeks. Woodley played 41 snaps this past Sunday and it appears that his calf problem is now behind him. At least we hope it is.
