Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin updated the health of the team Tuesday during his weekly press conference as the team now prepares to play the Cleveland Browns this coming Sunday.
Linebacker Stevenson Sylvester (hamstring) and safety Shamarko Thomas (ankle) were characterized by Tomlin as being doubtful this week.
Defensive end Brett Keisel (foot), linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf) and guard Ramon Foster (ankle) will likely be limited early in the week, according to Tomlin. However, the head coach thinks all three have a legitimate chance of playing this week after sitting out the game Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Tomlin talked about wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot) later in his press conference and said he will be limited in practice this week but is encouraged as far as him being able to play Sunday. Sanders suffered a right foot injury in the win over the Lions in the second quarter and did not return to the game.
