The Detroit Lions Wednesday injury report is now in and although it includes wide receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) on it, he is in no jeopardy of missing the Sunday game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Johnson, who did not practice Wednesday, was reportedly given a maintenance day as has been the norm with him as of late. The same goes for safety Louis Delmas (knee), who also sat out Wednesday, but is expected to return to work on Thursday.
Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah (ankle) and cornerback Dwight Bentley (knee) remain sidelined and it looks like both could miss yet another game for the Lions this week.
Running back Montell Owens (knee) also sat out Wednesday’s session, but his injury is not believed to be serious.
Limited on Wednesday were wide receiver Nate Burleson (forearm) and tackle Corey Hilliard (knee). Burleson has missed the last six weeks, but he has been cleared to resume contact. It is still unknown, however, if he will play this week against the Steelers.
