The Thursday injury report for the Pittsburgh Steelers is now in and linebacker Jarvis Jones (concussion) was limited in practice after failing to practice Wednesday.
Jones, who was diagnosed Wednesday evening with a concussion, was cleared to participate in an ‘exercise challenge’ Thursday and that is standard protocol. Defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau is optimistic that Jones will play Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, but the rookie linebacker still has to pass the necessary concussion tests in order to do so. Friday will be a big day for him.
Tackle Marcus Gilbert (quad) was limited again on Thursday with a quadriceps injury, but hopefully will be able to practice fully on Friday.
Newly signed tight end Richard Gordon (toe) did not practice Thursday and was added to the injury report with a toe injury of some description.
Defensive end Brett Keisel (abdomen), tight end Heath Miller (not injury related) and linebacker LaMarr Woodley (knee) all practiced fully Thursday after all were limited on Wednesday.
Wide receiver Markus Wheaton (finger) remains sidelined and has long been ruled out for the Sunday game.
