The Pittsburgh Steelers have now wrapped up their final practice of the week and they will now get ready to travel Saturday for their Sunday game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
The Friday injury report is out and it still looks like Ramon Foster (pectoral) will be able to start Sunday after practicing fully for a third straight day. Foster, who is currently battling through a pectoral strain, told Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that he must be careful to keep his hands inside against the Jets and not reach during his run blocking or pass protection. Foster is listed as probable on the injury report.
As of right now, we still do not know who will get the start at left tackle against the Jets. Kelvin Beachum, however, is listed as the starter on the depth chart and he is backed up by the newly acquired Levi Brown. Both players received work in practice this week at the left tackle spot and offensive coordinator Todd Haley did not rule out the possibility of both playing against the Jets.
Tight end Heath Miller (not injury related) and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (finger) both practiced fully on Friday and are listed as probable. Miller was allowed to be limited on Thursday in an effort to save wear and tear on him.
Wide receiver Markus Wheaton (finger) is of course listed as out for the game after having surgery last week to repair his broken pinky finger. Wheaton will be replaced by wide receiver Derek Moye against the Jets.
