According to Mike Prisuta of DVE Radio, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons suffered a minor fracture in his left hand Sunday in the win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Timmons, who currently is sporting a cast on the injured hand, told Prisuta that he can still play and that it isn’t going to hold him back.
Against the Ravens, the Steelers credited Timmons with a career high 20 tackles with 17 of them being solo. Timmons did not miss a tackle in the game and several of his tackles came within three yards of the line of scrimmage.
The Steelers promoted linebacker Kion Wilson from the practice squad on Monday and now we see why. While Timmons might indeed play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, he could be limited this week in practice.
Head coach Mike Tomlin is expected to address Timmons’ status during his Tuesday press conference.
