According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, second-year offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum will start Sunday against the New York Jets at left tackle.
This will be the first career start for Beachum at left tackle for the Steelers 2012 seventh-round draft pick.
The Steelers not only demoted tackle Mike Adams following the loss to the Minnesota Vikings, they also decided not to dress him against the Jets as he is one of the seven inactives for the game.
Newly acquired tackle Levi Brown is dressed and will presumably back up Beachum at the left tackle spot.
In other offensive line news, guard Ramon Foster will indeed start against the Jets. Foster has been working through a pectoral strain but did manage to practice fully this week and was listed as probable on the Friday injury report.
