The Tennessee Titans had an interesting change on their Thursday injury report as they continue to prepare for their Sunday season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field.
Tackle David Stewart (calf), who practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, did not practice Thursday. According to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean, Stewart is improving even though he did not practice and head coach Mike Munchak reportedly still expects him to play against the Steelers.
Linebacker Zaviar Gooden (ankle) and fullback Quinn Johnson (quadricep) also did not work on Thursday. Gooden has already been ruled out for the opener.
Linebacker Akeem Ayers (ankle) was limited for a second straight day, but Wyatt says he’s expected to be ready by Sunday.
