The Pittsburgh Steelers have wrapped up their Thursday practice as they continue to prepare to play the Chicago Bears Sunday night at Heinz Field and the second injury report for the week has now been released.
Cornerback Cortez Allen (ankle) did not practice again on Thursday and it is looking like he will miss his second consecutive game thanks to an ankle injury he suffered in the season opener.
Linebacker Jarvis Jones (heel) was limited for a second straight day on Thursday due to a heel contusion that he suffered in the Monday night loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Jones is expected to practice fully on Friday, however, and should be ready to go Sunday night.
The Steelers continue to ramp up the rehab of running back Le’Veon Bell (foot) as he practiced fully Thursday for the first time since injuring his foot during the preseason. Bell is still not expected to play against the Bears.
Tight end Heath Miller (knee) practiced fully again on Thursday and that’s a great sign as it shows he had no setbacks following his first full practice on Wednesday. Miller is wearing a knee brace, however, which he says he has to get used to. It is still unclear if Miller will play Sunday night against the Bears and he will likely be listed as questionable on the Friday injury report if he is able to go full a third straight day.
Cornerback Curtis Brown (illness), defensive end Brett Keisel (calf) and nose tackle Steve McLendon (hamstring) all practiced fully on Thursday and all three look like they are on track to play Sunday night. Brown’s illness could be a result of a concussion that he suffered in the season opener.
