Season 4, Episode 13 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I start by recapping the Tuesday Mike Tomlin press conference as the Pittsburgh Steelers prepare to take on the Carolina Panthers Thursday night in the preseason finale. We go over the injury report and talk specifically about Isaac Redman sitting out and what it means for the other healthy running backs on the roster.
Heath Miller looks like he might come off the PUP list any day now, so we discuss him as well as Matt Spaeth. We tell you why Spaeth has to be on the 53 man roster come Saturday morning.
Tomlin talked about the young linebackers needing to show something Thursday night on special teams so we revisit the depth chart heading into the game.
Ben Roethlisberger is a hell of a play-action quarterback and we go inside his numbers from the preseason and discuss how the Steelers really need to running game to come through this season in order to ensure more play-action can be used.
Is it time to cut the cord on Chris Carter? It sure does look that way. We also talk about the play of Guy Whimper and Joe Long last week as the search continues for an eighth offensive lineman.
As always, there are a few other talking points mixed in that I did not highlight here in the recap.
