The Pittsburgh Steelers have now put the wraps on their Thursday practice and head coach Mike Tomlin met the media after practice.
As far as injuries, Tomlin said outside linebacker Jason Worilds (toe) suffered an injured toe that will likely sideline him just a few days. The news wasn\’t as positive in regard to guard Nik Embernate (knee), who injured his knee during one-on-one drills. Tomlin said the injury could be significant based on the way he went down and that he will be further evaluated.
While Tomlin didn\’t name linebacker LaMarr Woodley (calf) during his rundown of injured players, Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that he was limited on Thursday due to calf discomfort.
The other injured players, cornerback Cortez Allen (knee), cornerback Terry Hawthorne (knee), cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke (hamstring) and defensive end Nick Williams (knee) all remain sidelined.
Tomlin was asked about tackle Mike Adams and whether or not he is being slowly worked in due to his stabbing injury that occurred on June 1st and the coach said he wasn\’t getting any special treatment.
Tomlin was also asked if we can look forward to a goal-line drill taking place on Friday night and he said, “no.”
