According to Missi Matthews of steelers.com, Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman said he intends on practicing Wednesday after being forced to sit out the Monday night preseason game against the Washington Redskins with a stinger.
Redman suffered the stinger last Thursday early in practice after getting hit in 11-on-11 drills.
The Steelers certainly need Redman back being as it looks like rookie running back Le\’Veon Bell will be sidelined for at least the remainder of the preseason and perhaps even longer after he suffered a mid-foot sprain early in the game against the Redskins. The Steelers are currently seeking a second opinion on their second-round draft pick, who underwent an MRI on Tuesday and is currently wearing a boot.
There has been no update as of yet on running back LaRod Stephens-Howling, who was also forced to miss the Redskins game because of a minor knee sprain.
Also injured Monday night were running back Baron Batch and fullback Will Johnson. Batch suffered a stinger during the game while Johnson suffered a rib injury. Neither of the injuries are believed to be serious, however, but it is unknown if both will practice Wednesday.
