The Pittsburgh Steelers waived rookie long snapper Luke Ingram on Thursday as they needed a roster spot for cornerback Buddy Jackson, who they claimed off waivers from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Ingram, the only long snapper to be invited to the NFL combine this year, didn\’t stay unemployed long as he was claimed off waivers from the Steelers by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.
Ingram had been originally signed by the Steelers as an undrafted free agent after a solid college career at Hawaii that included him playing in 52 games without having a bad snap.
