It looks as if the Pittsburgh Steelers coaching staff is trying to send rookie running back Le\’Veon Bell some sort of message.
According to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Steelers running back rotation that is being used during the first training camp practice includes the Michigan State product going last. Even undrafted free agent Curtis McNeal is ahead of not only Bell, but fullback Will Johnson and LaRod Stephens-Howling as well.
Isaac Redman is listed first as far as the rotation order goes and he is followed next by Jonathan Dwyer and Baron Batch.
Head coach Mike Tomlin and running backs coach Kirby Wilson have a method to their madness, so I wouldn\’t get too caught up with the rotation used during the first few practices.
Maybe Tomlin will be asked about the rotation following practice, but even if he is, I would expect a pretty generic response.
