The Pittsburgh Steelers second practice of the first OTA session of the 2013 season has ended and rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones apparently was limited once again with hamstring injury, according to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Twitter.
Kaboly reports that Jones didn\’t fully participate in the Wednesday session and that the Georgia product said following practice that he originally tweaked his hamstring during his Pro Day workout back in March while running his forty-yard dash and that he aggravated it again at rookie camp a few weeks ago.
At least we know for sure that it is a hamstring problem with Jones and nothing more. With that being said, hamstring injuries can linger, so it will not be surprising to hear Jones being limited over the course of the next several OTA practices.
Hopefully Jones can overcome this injury by the time the mandatory mini camp rolls around in mid June and be fully healthy by the time training camp begins in late July.
