The Pittsburgh Steelers are meeting Wednesday with another former Arizona Cardinals free agent running back as Larod-Stephens Howling is in town for a free agent visit. Howling was the Cardinals seventh round pick out of Pitt back in 2009 and has played four seasons in Arizona
Howling had110 carries last season for 356 yards and 4 touchdowns in limited action. He has, however, been a decent return man since coming into the league as he has 163 kickoff returns for 4,067 yards and 3 touchdowns in 57 total games.
The Steelers have already brought in free agent running backs Beanie Wells and Ahmad Bradshaw so far this offseason, but signed neither of them. Wells\’ knee reportedly did not pass a physical, while Bradshaw remains in a walking boot following his January surgery.
The Steelers most likely will not sign any free agent running back until after the draft later this month. They reportedly remain in intersted in Bradshaw and plan on having him back in over the course of the next few weeks.
