I thought I would put together a Pittsburgh Steelers draft day contest and give away $100 to the winner. Below are the rules.
Rule 1. You must be on Paypal in order to receive the winnings. I\’m not writing a check. I use Paypal, so you use Paypal.
Rule 2. Your entry must be posted in the comments AND sent to me via the contact form. I am going to make you jump through hoops for this and it will be easier to grade this way. No exceptions. Make sure when you send it via the comment form that you give your name, email address and the username on the blog.
Rule 3. List your top 5 draft choices for each of the 8 draft picks (include the COMP pick) in the order from 1-5 with one being the most likely. You can only list a player once. You should end with 40 players listed. NO DUPLICATES.
Example:
Round 1: – 50 point bonus
1. Vince Young – 50 points
2. Joe Theismann – 40 points
3. Vince Evans – 30 points
4. Doug Williams – 20 points
5. Tim Tebow – 10 points
Round 2: – 50 point bonus
1. Franco Harris – 50 points
2. Limas Sweed – 40 points
3. John Stallworth – 30 points
4. O.J. Simpson – 20 points
5. Rae Carruth – 10 points
Rule 4. The grading will be done by round and pick with the high score winning. Should your first pick in each round be correct, you will get 50 points per round for getting the round number correct and 50 points for listing that player first. Should you have the right round, but the player is listed fifth on your list, you will have 60 points for that pick. If the player that you list is selected in the wrong round, you will receive the points for wherever you list him. For example, If Sweed is taken in round one, you would receive only 40 points for that being as you had him listed in the wrong round.
Rule 5: Tiebreaker – Please guess what overall pick number Marcus Lattimore will be.
Rule 6: Contest closes after first 100 entries. I love you people, but this will take time to score.
Rule 7: I have the final ruling on anything that is not laid clear enough above.
Rule 8: One entry per person and if I find you trying to get around this, beware.
