Report: S Ross Ventrone Visits Steelers On Wednesday

It is about that time for the Pittsburgh Steelers to start signing players to future contracts now that the season is over and we could have our first one announced pretty soon.

Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports via Twitter on Wednesday that safety Ross Ventrone, a Chartiers Valley graduate, is visiting the Steelers today.

Ventrone was originally signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2010 after playing his college ball at Villanova. He is the younger brother of current Cleveland Browns safety Ray Ventrone.

Ventrone played 30 snaps on defense for the Patriots in 2011 and recorded 2 total tackles.
