Report: Steelers Work Out Free Agent CB Justin King On Wednesday

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said during his Tuesday press conference that the team would likely kick the tires on a few free agent cornerbacks in light of Ike Taylor being out now at least a few weeks with a fractured right ankle.

The team had free agent cornerback Stanford Routt scheduled for a Wednesday visit, but he signed with the Houston Texans on Tuesday after working out for them. Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is now reporting on Wednesday via Twitter that free agent cornerback Justin King is in today for a work out.

King, who played his college ball at Penn State, was a fourth-round pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2008. He most recently was on the roster of the Indianapolis Colts earlier this season.

Tomlin made it clear on Tuesday that it was no guarantee that any of the free agents would be signed that they bring in and insinuated that the team was just updating their list of names should another injury strike the position.

On Tuesday Josh Victorian was signed back to the practice squad for depth purposes.
