The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they re-signed rookie nose tackle Alameda Ta\’amu to the practice squad.
Ta\’amu had been released from the 53-man roster on Monday when the Steelers promoted wide receiver David Gilreath from the practice squad because of the ankle injury to wide receiver Antonio Brown.
Ta\’amu cleared the 24 hour waiver period on Tuesday at 4 p.m. eastern and was then a free agent.
The Washington product faces a number of misdemeanor and felony for the October incident with the Pittsburgh police.
