According to Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad linebacker Marshall McFadden on Twitter, he will get promoted to the 53 man roster later this week and dress for the Sunday night game against the Baltimore Ravens.
The move has not been made as of yet, and likely won\’t be made official until Saturday if indeed it happens. It is unclear who would be released if indeed McFadden is promoted. Chris Carter missed practice on Wednesday with an abdomen injury, but the rest of the linebacker group appears to be healthy as Stevenson Sylvester practiced fully on Wednesday. Unless one of those two are going on injured reserve, another player will need to be released.
McFadden, who was a four-year starter at South Carolina State, has been on the Steelers practice squad all season after leading the team in tackles during the preseason.
