Season 3, Episode 28 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I start by looking at the Pittsburgh Steelers M*A*S*H unit coming out of their 26-23 loss Thursday night to the Tennessee Titans.
We then get right into the mess that was Thursday night and focus mostly on what transpired in the ill-fated fourth quarter of the game as there is so much to talk about in that quarter alone. We discuss the extremely poor play of Ike Taylor, the dropped interception by Keenan Lewis as well as the several other defensive breakdowns in that quarter. What is the deal with 3rd downs? We talk about that and the failure on defense to get a play call which ultimately led to an explosive pass play in the game. This is becoming a weekly occurrence now and it is very frustrating to watch.
We also talk about the decision made by head coach Mike Tomlin to allow kicker Shaun Suisham to attempt a 54 yard field goal with the game in the balance. Was this the correct call and what were the options at that point. We hammer that out and mix in a lot more of our observations from the game.
We have plenty of time to further breakdown the game in its entirety on Monday, so we close the show with our weekly picks of the rest of the games that will take place this weekend.
