Season 3, Episode 35 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd and I get right after it Monday morning as we recap the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-12 win Sunday over the Washington Redskins at Heinz Field.
We start with a look at the Steelers first offensive possession and zero in specifically on the fake bubble screen play that went to tight end Heath Miller for big yardage. The opening drive was fantastic from an execution and play calling standpoint and the fourth down touchdown to the seldom used Leonard Pope was a thing of beauty.
David and I recap the entire game from there and point out what we liked and didn\’t like on both sides of the ball for the Steelers. We discuss the Redskins game plan and how the Steelers let them back into the game with the key special teams penalty that nullified the punt return for a touchdown by Antonio Brown.
We look at the injuries coming out of the game and some potential roster moves that should be upcoming as soon as today or Tuesday in addition. I have time to slap Jason La Canfora for his piece that he did on Mike Wallace and we take a small peak ahead to the upcoming game against the New York Giants next Sunday as well.
