Season 3, Episode 12 of The Terrible Podcast is up and co-host David Todd I start off the Wednesday episode by reviewing the main talking points from the Tuesday press conference of Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. We discuss the door being left open for running back Rashard Mendenhall to play Sunday night, but both of us think this is more gamesmanship than anything. We go over the rest of the injuries noted by Tomlin and start hammering through the 7 players who will likely be inactive for the game.
We talk about the comments made by Tomlin in regard to cornerback Keenan Lewis and the explanation that he gave as to why he chose to keep three quarterbacks on the roster with the third of course being veteran Charlie Batch. We close the first half of the show by giving our picks for the Wednesday night season opener between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys.
In part two of the show we welcome back Cecil Lammey of ESPN Denver and Footballguys.com and he gives us his thoughts on the new look Denver Broncos as we begin breaking down the Steelers Sunday night opener in Denver. Cecil fills us in the new faces on the Broncos besides quarterback Peyton Manning and what some of the strengths and weaknesses are of the team heading into the 2012 season. We get the thoughts of Cecil on both sides of the ball for the Broncos and what he has observed of the team through the preseason. As usual, Cecil does a great job sharing his knowledge of the team he covers and we get him to preview the Broncos season and throw out a prediction for the Sunday night game in addition.
