The Pittsburgh Steelers had a pre-screening for local media of the Steelers 2011 highlight video on Friday which is narrated by KDKA radio host Larry Richert. Prior to the pre-screening it was also officially announced that Richert will be the new Heinz Field public address announcer for Steelers games as well. Richert replaces Randy Cosgrove, who resigned as the Steelers\’ P.A. announcer a few weeks ago.
The video is entitled “Heart” and you can see some clips of it in a teaser video that is up on steelers.com already. The 24-minute video was produced by Bethel Park-native John Weiss of NFL Films and it serves as his 22nd Steelers highlight project. While the video is narrated by Richert it also includes several radio calls of Bill Hillgrove and former Steelers Tunch Ilkin and Craig Wolfley in addition.
The video will be available for purchase in early July exclusively at all of the Steelers Sideline Stores and you will also be able to purchase it on steelers.com then as well.
