2012 Steelers Preseason Schedule Announced – Bruce Arians To Face Former Team

The NFL announced the 2012 preseason schedules today for all 32 teams and the Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills and the Carolina Panthers in their four preseason games.

The most interesting game as far as subplots goes on the preseason schedule is the one against the Colts that will be played at Heinz Field. Former Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians is now the Colts offensive coordinator and the game will likely feature Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, who will likely be drafted first overall by the Colts later this month. That game will be played Sunday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. and will be televised by NBC.

The time and dates of the other three remaining exhibition games will be released at a later date and the full 2012 schedule will be announced later this month. The Steelers open the preseason on the road against the Eagles and play the Bills on the road as well. They will close out the preseason at home against the Panthers.
