Top round prospect Michael Brockers has been enlisting the help of some talented alumni. The LSU star has been working out with several former LSU Defensive Lineman who are currently NFL stars, including 2 time Pro Bowler Kyle Williams. Williams has frequently traveled to his alma mater to work out with Brockers and even answer questions. The article can be found at this link.
This is good news because Brockers is a defensive tackle projected to go late in the first round. If I could choose anyone he could learn from on how to be an effective NT, Williams would be near the top of the list. This is especially good news after Brockers had such a poor NFL combine, as you can see in my previous post. Expect him to make amends at his pro day, and if he does drop to pick 24, it will give the Steelers some options. It looks like a safe bet that Dontari Poe will be gone and Brockers has shown he can bulk up. As a freshman Bockers weighed in around 250lbs and bulked all the way to around 320. Expect him to garner some interest.
